How to Enter the 2006 "Balde" Eagle Festival

 Thanks to all who entered, this years contest was a huge success!

All Photos will be displayed and judged in the Columbia
      Arts Association and Them Dam Writers Room
      located in the Grand Coulee Senior Building. Across
      from Grand Gallery Theatre on Main St. in Grand Coulee.

Art / Writers Room will be open Saturday and Sunday
     February 11th and 12th from noon until 6:00pm and
     the 13th from 9:30am to 2:00pm. Please turn in your work at this time or at the Chamber Office by Monday, Feb 13th.

Contest Rules: 

1.      Judges decision is final.

2.      Photographs entered must be of the local area wildlife or habitat.

3.      Only three photographs may be entered per photographer.

4.      Only original work may be submitted.  There is no size limit.

5.      Place your name, address and telephone number on a card, in
a sealed envelope and attach securely to the back of the frame.

6.      Entries must be must be framed or matted and ready for hanging.

7.      Photos must be the property of the entrant and may not have been nationally published or be under consideration for publication or prizes elsewhere.

8.      All photographs may be used by the Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce at its discretion in promotional activities.  Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce also retains the right to use winning photos for their own editorial or promotional purposes without compensation to the photographer but will credit the photographer with any further such use of the photos.

9.      Photos will be judged according to the following criteria:

Technical Merit – sharpness of focus, depth of field, color balance and composition of photograph.

Focus – attention on main subject.

Simplify – include only what is necessary and minimize distractions

10.  By participating in the contest, you agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and it is your responsibility to ensure that you have so complied.  The determination of the winners will be final and binding in all matters relating to this contest.  Names of the Winners will be available on February 28, 2006.

11.  For a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Rules – Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 760, Grand Coulee, WA 99133.

12.  We will accept all photographs on or before February 13, 2006.  Deliver photographs to Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of  Commerce 306 Midway, Grand Coulee, WA. or Mail to be Received by above date.
